We were one, a great whole.<\/p>\n

So why is it that now we hate each other and kill one another?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Deeply immersed in darkness,<\/p>\n

a chaotic world overflowing with materialism.<\/p>\n

Problems grow like countless branches,<\/p>\n

complicated and intertwined.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Without knowing, we create poison for ourselves,<\/p>\n

consume it, inhale it, grow sick, and suffer.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Now we cannot even question<\/p>\n

this distorted reality, common sense, or society.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Given<\/p>\n

a little entertainment,<\/p>\n

a little freedom,<\/p>\n

and sinking into fleeting pleasures.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When did it happen,<\/p>\n

that many of us lost our vital power?<\/p>\n

Most forgot the important connections with others,<\/p>\n

and the ability to think for ourselves vanished from our choices,<\/p>\n

falling into sleep.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To wake up,<\/p>\n

to reclaim that vital power,<\/p>\n

and to remember it,<\/p>\n

could be the key to our future.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I ask my cosmos.<\/p>\n

Once, in a brief flash of light, in a flame that burns out and scatters.<\/p>\n

Shall I live skillfully with \"them\"?<\/p>\n

Or shall I escape from it all?<\/p>\n

Shall I empty my mind and just watch the situation unfold?<\/p>\n

Or shall I stand in defiance and fight \"them\"?<\/p>\n
