Cosmic Rhythm Series.

Reclaimed wood collected from the Netherlands. The shapes, cracks, and marks left on the surface carry traces of someone's life. By washing what was once discarded and giving it new life as art, the work quietly holds within it questions of environment, cycle, and transcendence.

Phosphorescent paint, interference pigment, and 24K gold leaf are applied. The work shifts in appearance depending on the light.

A figure from Hokusai's Chie no Umi — Kabari-ryū has been sampled across time. The motif is painted in mineral pigment.
