Everything exists simultaneously there.
PPF | Explanation
This piece is a work themed around time.
It is painted on a skateboard deck I actually used during my teenage years as a student.
In the past, I rode this skateboard, and now, in my thirties, I have painted it.
With a time gap of about 15 years, I consider this to be a single unified piece.
On the other hand, Einstein's theory of relativity suggests that the past, present, and future all exist simultaneously.
Time is said to be a virtual sensation created by the brain, with everything already existing in its entirety.
If this theory is correct, it would mean that this skateboard was destined from the beginning to be "purchased by teenage Kota, ridden through the streets, and painted in his thirties."
And its future, too, is likely already determined.
The fate of this skateboard, as well as our own destinies.
