Cosmic Rhythm Series
Reclaimed wood collected from the Netherlands. The shapes, cracks, and marks left on the surface carry traces of someone's life lived nearby.
Phosphorescent paint, chameleon pigment, and 24K gold leaf are applied. The work shifts in appearance depending on the light.
A hawk sampled from Hiroshige's Jūmantsubo Plain at Susaki, Fukagawa. Rendered in iwa-enogu, acrylic, and fineliner. The eyes make direct use of the knots in the wood.
