Are paintings a gateway to the afterlife? | Digital + Street + Art in Pai, Thailand

Following my previous post,

My new art project

"Where The Light Is,"

which blends digital and street art,

(= the place where light exists)

I also implemented it in Pai, a town located in northern Thailand.

Pai is a beautiful, nature-filled place located further north than Chiang Mai.

It is situated in the triangular area between Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

Due to its natural beauty and the comfort it provides,

travelers and hippie-like people find their way there,

and everyone ends up staying for an extended period, earning it the nickname "Shangri-La."

Engaging in art activities in such a place felt

like hosting a sacred ceremony.

At night, the children must be wondering and imagining what they felt when the large glowing artwork suddenly appeared.

They may still be thinking, "What was that?" even now.

Through this activity, I realized that the advantage of being able to view art freely in the streets is that it can be appreciated by everyone—regardless of wealth, nationality, language, age, or gender—without any borders.

There were many insights that will serve as hints for my future art activities.

Thank you to everyone in Pai!

Those who are being made to create a gateway to Oneness through the medium of art

One day, a huge, glowing picture is projected across the city at night.

It looks like a portal to another world.

Regarding what I previously wrote,

"It felt like holding a sacred ritual,"

to be honest,

it was "a sacred ritual itself."

By holding the event, I was able to receive a mystical message that came to me suddenly,

and I would like to share it.

Through the medium of art, I am creating an entrance to the other side

(where Oneness, Love, and the Universe are often referred to).

From that entrance, an immense amount of energy is overflowing.

When someone sees that entrance (the artwork),

something spiritual awakens within their subconscious.

This means that an entrance is also being created within that person themselves.

I feel joy in expressing myself through painting.

This is because when I paint, the brain’s reward system is stimulated,

and hormones that induce pleasure and happiness are released.

This happens because the human body and mind of Kota are designed that way,

not by my own will.

When I observe this from a broader perspective,

I can say that,

while I enjoy painting,

I am, in fact, being guided to paint by a greater consciousness.

In other words,

through the medium of painting,

I am expressing Oneness.

This means that I am creating an entrance to Oneness

within the unconscious minds of the world and people.

I consciously enjoy doing this work,

but at the same time,

I am being led to do it by a greater consciousness.

I received such a message.

The overseas art project "Where The Light Is" (the place of light)

may have been conducted for me to receive this message.

Now, I feel that perhaps

“the idea for this project,

the planning, and the execution,

as well as receiving this kind of message”

was all guided by a greater consciousness.

It has been a very valuable experience.

The "Where The Light Is" project

may be implemented in Japan if the opportunity arises.

If the timing aligns, I look forward to it.

Thank you very much for reading this!
