Artwork Description:
The Memory of Humans and the Cosmos Spoken by Wood.

This work was created using my original painting technique, Cosmic Rhythm, which interprets the wood grain as the rhythm of the cosmos and paints along its natural flow. I regard the wood grain as traces carved by natural forces—time, weather, gravity, seasons, and rotation—an imprint of the cosmic rhythm itself. By following this flow with my brush, I express the worldview of Oneness: that all is one.
The wood used in this work was once discarded in a residential area here in the Netherlands, where I currently live. The shapes, marks, and traces of aging tell the silent stories of human life once connected to them. By collecting, cleansing, and reviving what was once thrown away, the work embodies themes of circulation, transformation, and reflection on our relationship with the environment.
By incorporating luminescent and interference pigments, the painting reveals diverse expressions as the light changes. In darkness, it emits a gentle glow—its radiance resembling distant stars, or the flicker of subatomic particles and energy itself. There are genuine 24K gold leaves, quietly radiating an eternal golden brilliance. I consider this work to be a collaborative existence in which the rhythm of the cosmos and the stories of humankind resonate together as one.

Poet: Flow

Go with the flow,
because we are the flow.

  🌏

Explanation: Flow

There seems to be a mysterious current flowing through this world—a force beyond human understanding, a flow of the cosmos. Some may call it fate, others may call it guidance. Resisting this flow can bring suffering. Surrendering to it may open the way to a whole new world.

In this work, I minimized the influence of ego, allowing the natural grain of the wood to lead the composition. As I followed its rhythm, mysterious, unplanned patterns emerged—visualizing the unseen current of the universe. Painted with luminous pigments, the piece gently glows in the dark. Light and darkness—two opposing forces—coexist here, and in darkness, another side reveals itself. We often try to avoid the dark. But through darkness, we learn to shine. To love.

This piece is composed of six panels that connect as one continuous flow. Each piece meets the next, joining together to form a larger stream of movement—like individuals in society, intersecting, influencing, and flowing forward together.

If, while standing before this piece, you feel something stir within, that may be the cosmic rhythm resonating inside you. You are part of this grand flow. You are the flow itself.

Poet: Orbit
The perfect orbit of the entire cosmos.
We are kept alive within its flow.

It is eternal and beautiful—
a perfect cycle, journey, and path.

Let us live together.
With the Earth.
Let us live together.
With the cosmos.

  🌏

Explanation: Orbit

The world we live in is held by an exquisite balance.
Our existence is supported by the miracles of the cosmos in harmony. Earth—our blue home—is just one small orbiting point among countless stars. Each of us, too, moves in a unique, beautiful orbit—our own life path.

This work follows the grain of wood formed by nature—the rhythm of the cosmos itself. By surrendering to this natural flow, I let the wood guide my brush, allowing unseen forces to shape the composition. The piece is painted with luminous pigments and gently glows in the dark. Light and darkness coexist, and in darkness, another side of the work is revealed. Through darkness, we remember how to shine—how to love.

This piece consists of six separate panels that together form one large painting. What appears separate may actually be one—just like all beings, all lives, all orbits.

Your orbit is not solitary. It intersects with others, influences them, and is shaped in return. If, while standing before this piece, you feel something quietly stir within, it may be the rhythm of the cosmos resonating inside you—your inner orbit aligning with the great motion of the cosmos.

  🌏

Explanation: Flow

There seems to be a mysterious current flowing through this world—a force beyond human understanding, a flow of the cosmos. Some may call it fate, others may call it guidance. Resisting this flow can sometimes bring suffering. Surrendering to it may lead us to a whole new world. Each person interprets it in their own way. But perhaps, this flow has no good or bad. It simply exists, purely—as the flow of the cosmos itself.

In this work, I minimized the influence of ego, and let the natural grain of the wood lead the way, layering color along its flow. In doing so, the patterns that emerged—mysterious and unplanned—became a pure visualization of the cosmic flow. It is painted with special luminous pigments, and in darkness, it gently glows. Light and darkness—two opposing forces—embrace each other, and by night, the painting reveals another side of itself. We often wish to avoid the darkness. Yet it is because of the darkness that light can shine. It is how we learn love more deeply—how we shine for someone, for this world. That is the meaning held within this work.

This piece consists of six separate panels that together form one large painting. What once seemed separate may reveal itself to have always been one. And in that moment of realization, we may remember something important—something we had forgotten.

If, while standing before this piece, you feel something quietly tremble within you, that is surely the rhythm of the cosmos flowing through you—your inner light. May you treasure that resonance, that radiance, always. Everything is part of a perfect flow. You, too—each and every one of us—are that flow itself. So trust. Everything, truly everything, is okay.
