Cosmic Rhythm Series

The central concept of my work is Oneness — the philosophical idea that all existence within the cosmos is one. My practice is an attempt to visualize this belief through my original painting method, Cosmic Rhythm. This approach expresses harmony with nature by painting directly on wood. I regard the wood grain as traces carved by natural forces — time, weather, gravity, seasons, and rotation — an imprint of the cosmic rhythm itself. By painting in tune with this rhythm, I weave stories in which nature and humanity, past and future, the individual and the whole, come into harmony. This approach resonates with the teaching of Shakyamuni (ca. 5th–6th century BCE) on the interdependence of all things, as well as with the Japanese spiritual aesthetics of Wabi-sabi, nature worship, and Ichigo Ichie. Through my work, I hope that viewers will feel the rhythm of the cosmos and find new perspectives and insight — and that it may help bring a gentle light of hope into our world.
